Mike’s Peak in Baja. I’m seriously considering entering my desert truck in this next year, it looks like a mad road. Check out the onboard from !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Can’t embed because BBC Player.

Wait, You have a desert truck?

I went with my dad to Mt. Washington in 2014. There was a guy there with an old NASCAR truck going up the mountain on slicks.

Kinja'd!!!

I do indeed.

I was at Mt Washington in ‘14 as well (blew the motor on the last day). I remember the NASCAR truck, I don’t think it would do well on Mike’s Peak

What makes this so tough? I don’t see it. Mainly good line of site-predictable turns and a racing line that’s +/- truck plus 20ft. Its a desert truck -made to jump over dirt + rocks. If you go off line from the smooth wide road-you drive over —-—dirt+ rocks. With 24" of travel. Just like they’re built to do for a thousand miles.

“There’s not a corner for the first 1.3 miles. The skinny pedal spends most of the first five miles pinned to the bulkhead as the trucks top out at 150-ish mph.”

I see this as a very short desert stage-even if its uphill I dunno if I’d consider this a hillclimb. Certianly not the toughest.
